Appointment of new CEO: David Disney

We are pleased to announce that we have appointed David Disney as our CEO, effective immediately.

David joined the company in 2011 and has gained experience during his time managing our Bristol office, followed by the South West and Wales Region and then joining the Board of Directors in 2017. In addition to the time spent managing David has maintained an active case load and a day to day involvement in all areas of costs, which has ensured that he remained in touch with the ever changing landscape of the legal costs profession.

David will continue to take an active involvement in managing our South West and Wales Region, supporting his current and future clients and will be maintaining a small but active case load.

Reflecting on his appointment, David said:

“I am honoured and excited to have been selected to lead The John M Hayes Partnership into 2019 and beyond!

Having worked for the company for a number of years and progressed through the hierarchy from Costs Draftsman to CEO, I have seen almost every aspect of the company and worked with many of the Costs Draftsmen, Management and Support Team (too many to mention in this short piece) that I am proud to call my colleagues.

The JMH Partnership is a long established and recognised specialist in the world of costs. There are not many, if any, other firms in the country boasting the coverage and ability to provide personal costing services across England and Wales. A large coverage brings with it a large responsibility and challenge but I have a tremendous team to work with across the country which will enable the business to remain successful and will differentiate us from our competitors who struggle to replicate the business model John Hayes has developed over the 30+ years in business.

I am fully committed, with fierce ambition and determination, to the challenge of safeguarding the continued success of the business and will be working closely with the management team and our experienced Associates, Christopher McClure and Laura Bennett, to ensure that the firm continues to be recognised as a leading costs specialist in all areas of legal costs. Both Christopher and Laura have demonstrated their readiness to assist in the leadership of the Company.

Following a period of re-structuring and numerous improvements made in order to improve efficiency, the focus for 2019 will be on finishing outstanding modernisation projects, growth and maintaining an exceptional service for all of our current and future clients. With this in mind we are looking to add to our team of experienced and junior Costs Draftsmen, which is demonstrated by the two experienced Costs Draftsmen and one trainee Costs Draftsman added to the team at the end of last year and the further three experienced Costs Draftsmen set to join us early this year.”
