Q.Who will be my point of contact?
- A.

Q.Who will deal with my instructions?
- A.
Your instruction will be assigned to a Costs Draftsman/ Costs Lawyer with the relevant experience and knowledge required to deal with the matter.
Generally, your instructions will be dealt with by the same Costs Draftsman/ Cost Lawyer from start to finish, which will include dealing with the detailed assessment process. Unlike our competitors that utilise specific teams for certain tasks i.e a. bill drafting team or a negotiating team, where possible, we ensure that the Costs Draftsman who prepared the bill of costs also deals with the negotiation and detailed assessment process in respect of said bill. This is an advantage given the Costs Draftsman’s intimate knowledge of the substantive proceedings having been through the file in detail when preparing the bill.
For more information on the experience of our Costs Draftsmen, please see our Staff Profiles.
Q.Are you GDPR compliant?
- A.
As with most legal firms we have taken GDPR seriously and have put in place policies to deal with information security. GDPR is an ongoing process and we will continue to develop where necessary in order to keep data secure.
We do not offer a one size fits all GDPR agreement as a processor for data controllers. We have found through experience that every Solicitor firm operates differently and therefore it is necessary to enter specific agreements that ensure we meet the client (Data Controllers) obligations. For example, we have found that certain agreements require stricter policies regarding encryption or data transfer due to the fact that instructions and data are provided electronically.
