Separate Claims or One Bill?

For many years the LSC have been willing to accept separate CLAIM1 forms for each firm when a certificate had been transferred (as long as the combined costs do not require a Court assessment). This enables it to be very easily seen how much work has been done by each firm and payments can be made accordingly. However recently we are aware that some of these have been rejected on the basis that it must be in one CLAIM1 form. South Tyneside have stated that as long as separate CLAIM1 forms are submitted together they should not be rejected. Again this is something where a clear policy nationwide that is set out in writing would be useful.
