In-House Trouble Shooting to Boost Cash Flow
Here is another example in our occasional series of client stories highlighting our individual tailored service and how we can make a difference to your firm.
Legal Aid Agency
We were contacted by solicitors who explained that they had a large number of legal aid files that had queries or required processing for final submission. As the client felt they did not have the requisite knowledge, nor the time required to deal with the progression of the files they requested that we attend their office in order to assist.
Arrangements were made for two experienced costs draftsman to attend their office at the requested time of 9:00 am in order to ensure all matters were dealt with effectively on that day.
Processing Claims
On attendance, each costs draftsman was assigned to a fee earner. The costs draftsman went through each matter in turn, quickly identifying and resolving issues and highlighting the steps needed to finalize each claim. Examples of issues resolved included post assessment form completion, obtaining further information required by the Legal Aid Agency and providing case specific advice.
Direct Action
As soon as the next steps to resolve the matter were identified, the solicitors were directly acting upon our recommendations and preparing the necessary letters to the Court/Legal Aid Agency - thus making the whole process efficient and saving them time.
As a result of the service provided by John M Hayes over 15 files were dealt with and finalized and now being processed for final payments of approximately £30,000 by the Legal Aid Agency. Now that's progress.
