Central Funds Costs Limitation
Disappointing news from the Ministry of Justice
The response to its consultation on Central Funds costs (this firm having responded to the consultation) was that despite almost all of the respondents having indicated that the present system was the fairest, the MoJ intend to introduce legislation as of October 2009 limiting costs recoverable from Central Funds to legal aid rates including Litigator Fees for Crown Court cases.
