Law Costs Draftsman
Paul originally undertook his training as a Costs Draftsman with the company in 2008 but left in 2012 in order to take an around the world trip which would take him 4 years. Paul has since returned to The John M Hayes Partnership in 2016.
Since returning Paul has updated his legal aid knowledge and regularly prepares a variety of legal aid claims. He is well versed in the preparation of CLAIM1s, bills of costs and claims via CCMS. Paul also has experience in dealing with Inter-Partes costs orders in Legal Aid Matters. Paul is proficient in preparing post assessment documents for submission to the LAA and advising clients on assessment and maximising their costs.
During his first time at John M Hayes Paul was a significant member of our Inter-Partes team. Upon his return he has undertaken the preparation of bills of costs in Inter-Partes matters and has demonstrated that he still has an aptitude for negotiating and obtaining favourable settlements for his clients.
In his spare time Paul keeps active, he is a keen swimmer and undertakes various challenges, most recently walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall in 6 days. Paul has a continued appetite for travelling, despite having travelled to more places than most will in their lifetime!”
