The Legal Aid Agency has introduced a new CCMS application process that can be used when the client is unable to attend the office.
The interim declaration process allows providers to complete the application offline and for the declaration to be signed at the point that instructions are taken. The information is then transferred to CCMS.
Examples given by the LAA for when this process could apply include where the client can’t attend the office due to disability, imprisonment or hospitalisation.
