LAA Issue Contract Notices for Mandatory Use of CCMS
The Legal Aid Agency announced today that contract notices are being sent out this week to all legal aid firms confirming when use of the Client and Costs Management System will become mandatory.
Following consultation with representative bodies the Legal Aid Agency have agreed to extend the contract notice period from 3 months to 8 months meaning that CCMS will become mandatory on the 1st October 2015 for new applications. Firms are encouraged to take advantage of available training and become familiar with the system before 1st October.
