Newcastle-upon-Tyne Office
- Michael Fitzpatrick BA (Hons) MA - Regional Manager
Michael has managed the office since its inception in August 2001. After gaining a law degree from the University of Sheffield, Michael later secured an MA degree in criminology from the University of Keele. Previous employment includes spells in motor insurance, the Magistrates Court, HM Prison Service and criminal litigation in Norwich. Michael joined The John M. Hayes Partnership in the early part of 2000 at our Norwich office, following several years with a nearby cost drafting firm. He has undertaken all types of costing work during his twenty years as a costs draftsman.
- David Smith BSc (Hons)
David began work as a trainee at The John M. Hayes Partnership in September 2001, following his graduation from the University of Liverpool with a mathematics degree. He has dealt with all aspects of costs and in more recent times he has assumed a special responsibility for training and guiding colleagues through the fixed fees scheme in care cases.
- Vicky Kane LLB (Hons)
Vicky began work at The John M Hayes Partnership as a trainee in April 2004 following her graduation from the University of Sunderland with a law degree. She has dealt with all types of costs, and Vicky has specialized in preparing high costs case plans in care cases, as well as assuming an active training role within the office.
- Andrew Brough BA (Hons)
Andrew began working at The John M Hayes Partnership as a trainee in January 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Newcastle with a degree in law & accounting. Andrew has worked at three local law firms previously, dealing primarily with personal injury/disease cases and conveyancing.
- Andrew Clarke BA (Hons)
Andrew recently joined The John M Hayes Partnership as a trainee. He secured a degree in Journalism from the University of Sunderland and has worked for the Civil Service. Andrew also has had experience in running his own business.
- Gerry Smith BSc
Gerry is our administrator and has responsibility for maintaining our accounts and undertaking our free courier service. He has previously worked for the Civil Service on the computer processing of state benefits and, as a database administrator with an American Company. Gerry has a BSc in Computer Studies.
