Haywards Heath Office
- Julie Martin Pyrah - Regional Manager
Julie, a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen, has over 25 years costing experience and joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 1986. She began working at the Amersham office before moving to Haywards Heath and setting up the new office here in 1995. For an eighteen month period during 2002 / 03 she co-managed the London office of the business. Julie deals with all aspects of costing with a particular interest in Inheritance Act matters, and has appeared at various levels of court to include two attendances in the Privy Council. She became a Costs Lawyer in October 2007 as one of the first batch of costs draftsmen to attend the Inns of Court School of Law course to gain Higher Rights of Audience.
- Jean Jeffery BA (Hons)
Jean joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 2000 having previously undertaken a number of accounts roles in the insurance and health sectors. Although undertaking all types of work Jean has a particular interest in care work and is experienced in the preparation of high costs case plans. She also works in-house for clients on a regular basis.
- Liz Walters LLB
Liz, a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen, joined the Haywards Heath office in August 2004 as a trainee costs draftsman. She took a year off in 2007 / 08 to undertake the Legal Practice Course although she continued to undertake a certain amount of costing to “keep her hand in”. Having completed the course and gained a distinction, she returned to the office full time in September 2008. Liz is able to deal with all types of costs and her knowledge from taking the LPC has been enhanced. She has a particular interest in High Costs Case Plans and has been complemented by the Legal Services Commission for the quality of her work in this regard.
- Karen Kutter LLB
Karen joined the Haywards Heath office straight from university having gained a 2:1 degree in law. She completed her training in August 2009 and now undertakes all types of work. Karen has recently joined the ALCD as a student member and will be hoping to complete the course in 2012.
- Elaine Stevens
Elaine joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 2000. She is an experienced administrator and keeps the office running smoothly. Elaine is the first point of contact for those who call the office.
