Johanne has been with The John M Hayes Partnership since 2002, having come from a financial background. She has experience in dealing with private and public law matters, civil costs, preparing points of dispute and replies, negotiating settlements of costs and attending at detailed assessment hearings. Johanne is also involved in the delivery of in-house training as well as managing the Chesterfield office.

Michelle joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 1993. She is a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen and has considerable experience in costing a wide range of matters, including family, clinical negligence and personal injury, and particularly multi party international travel litigation claims. She also has experience in the negotiation and agreement of costs, to include preparation of points of dispute and replies and attendance at detailed assessment Hearings.

Sharon joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 1995 after studying for a Law Degree and then successfully completing the Legal Practice Course. She has experience of all aspects of civil costs including clinical negligence, serious injury claims and multi party actions. Sharon undertakes negotiations and drafts bills, points of dispute and replies and is also involved in the delivery of training.

Mark joined The John M Hayes Parntership in January 2007. Experienced in the preparation of civil and family bills, producing high cost case plans, drafting replies, negotiating for both Claimant and Defendants and attending at detailed assessment hearings. Mark regularly works in-house for anumber of clients and is currently a student member of the ALCD.

Rebecca has over 6 years experience in dealing with civil costs prior to joining The John M Hayes Partnership in January 2008. She has widened her experience to include preparation of bills in publicly funded matters. Rebecca’s strength is negotiating settlements of costs on behalf of both Claimant and Defendant solicitors. She is currently a student member of the ALCD.

John joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 2008 having previously obtained a First Class degree at Sheffield Hallam University. He is experienced in the preparation of civil and family bills, producing high cost case plans, drafting replies to points of dispute and negotiating for Claimant parties. John has a particular interest in dealing with costs in public law proceedings.

Andrea is one of The John M Hayes Partnership’s longest serving employees having begun costing in 1989. She became manager of the Matlock office before it relocated to Chesterfield in 2001 after which Andrea was appointed general manager until 2006. Although now working part time, Andrea, an ALCD associate and accredited ALCD trainer, undertakes all types of costing work and was involved in preparing bills for the solicitor acting for the families in the BSE Enquiry and BSE Litigation.

Moira has over 13 years experience in dealing with both Claimant and Defendant civil costs prior to joining The John M Hayes Partnership in December 2009. Having worked previously on the ‘Giambrone’, ‘North and South Wales Children’s Homes’ and ‘The Bloody Sunday Agreement’ cases, Moira’s work involved, drafting high profile bills, medical negligence bills, points of dispute, points of reply, negotiation and attending Detailed Assessment, together with the responsibility of training costs draftsmen. Moira also specialises in solicitor/client costs and non jurisdiction costs.

Stephanie is our administration assistant since joining The John M Hayes Partnership 1995. Stephanie is the backbone of the Chesterfield office ensuring the smooth day to day running of its administration. Her duties include providing support to the costs draftsmen, overseeing the office accounts, income collection, liaising with clients and assisting the regional manager.

Hannah is our part time administration assistant since joining The John M Hayes Partnership in September 2008. A welcome addition to the team (much to the relief of Stephanie!).

Laura joined The John M Hayes Partnership in June 2010. She has previously gained over 2 years experience both drawing bills and negotiating in civil matters, working for both an external costs firm and in-house for an established firm of solicitors in the North West. She hopes to develop her current skills to representing clients at detailed assessment hearings and become competent in preparing bills in publicly funded matters.

Emma is currently a trainee law costs draftsman having joined the company in May 2010. She is currently studying for the Institute of Legal Executives examinations (ILEX), having previously gained experience working as a paralegal for a local firm of solicitors. Emma decided to pursue a career in legal costs having prepared schedules and bills of costs. She is currently focusing on publicly funded matters.
