Janet commenced her career with The John M Hayes Partnership in 1997 following completion of the Legal Practice Course. In 2000 she returned to Wales to open the Cardiff office and has been responsible for the recruitment and training of the staff to date. During her time with the firm she has covered many aspects of private and public family law matters and has extensive experience of civil costs for both Claimants and Defendants. Janet has a particular interest in clinical negligence, personal injury and industrial disease claims and also works in house for clients around the region. Janet has given a number of costs seminars to local firms of solicitors and has also spoken on the subject of costs at a PIBA accredited seminar at local chambers.

Rhodri joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 2003. He deals predominantly with private and public family law matters, as well as all aspects of civil costs. He regularly deals with the preparation of High Costs Case Plans and claims for fixed costs in care proceedings. After a brief spell as acting manager, he is now the deputy manager of the Cardiff Office, and combines these duties with the role of trainer.

Clare has over 10 years costing experience with John M Hayes and has come from a legal background, having completed her LLB (Hons) at Aberystwyth University before completing the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff Law School. Clare has worked with the John M Hayes Partnership since 2000 and has extensive experience of all aspects of law cost drafting with particular interest in clinical negligence and serious injury claims including disease claims. Clare enjoys the opportunity to work in-house for clients in the South Wales region and continues to prepare points of dispute, detailed replies and to attend detailed assessment hearings in local courts.

Marc joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 2001 and deals with a wide variety of costs issues in family, civil and criminal proceedings as well as in non-contentious matters. He has gained considerable experience of representing both paying and receiving parties on detailed assessments both in the local courts and in the Supreme Court Costs Office, having dealt with high value bills of costs and novel points of costs law, and has spoken on the subject of costs at a PIBA accredited seminar at local chambers. Marc is particularly interested in representing paying parties as well as having a keen interest in the more arcane jurisdictions of costs law including costs in the criminal courts, in the Court of Protection and before The Planning Inspectorate.

Adam has worked for The John M Hayes Partnership since 2004 and specialises in publicly funded very high cost public law and private law cases. He has significant experience of drafting case plans, liaising with the Legal Services Commission and advising clients in respect of all high cost matters. Adam has additionally presented seminars on very high cost cases in conjunction with the LSC.

Robert joined the Cardiff office in April 2008. However, Robert has in excess of 19 years costing experience having worked as a law cost draftsman since 1990, spending a number of those years working as a self employed draftsman whilst bringing up his children before seizing the opportunity to join the Cardiff office. Robert has gained experience in almost all aspects of legal costs throughout the years, but now concentrates, in the main, on family and care costs.

Christina joined The John M Hayes Partnership as a trainee in 2009 having graduated from Universty in June 2008 where she studied Law. As a junior draftsman Christina is currently preparing bills of costs in publicly funded family work together with straightforward fast track personal injury claims.

Sophie joined the Partnership in 2009 as a trainee costs draftsman/administrator with John M Hayes having graduated from Universty in June 2008 where she studied Law. Sophie is currently preparing bills of costs in publicly funded family work and straighforward personal injury claims and is also responsible for assisting the Administrator with certain tasks.

See has worked for John M Hayes since 2004. She is responsible for the administration and accounts in the Cardiff Office. See is widely experienced in the administration field, responsible for collating information and producing management reports and preparing reports directly to clients.
