Amersham Office
- Janet Yarroll - Regional Manager

Janet has worked for The John M Hayes Partnership since June 1991 as a costs draftsman before becoming manager of this office in September 1994 and regional manager of both Amersham and London offices in February 2002. She has covered all aspects of law costs drafting and regularly assists clients in the recovery of their costs from the LSC. Janet is responsible for the initial training of new costs draftsmen in both offices.
- Kathleen Anderson
Kathleen has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since June 1989 and has undertaken all aspects of costing. She is a member of ALCD and an expert witness for the Law Society in respect of probate matters.
- Jo-Ann Harris BSc (Hons)
Jo-Ann has been working with The John M Hayes Partnership since May 1992 with brief sabbaticals whilst raising her children. She mainly deals with family publicly funded work but also has experience in dealing with fixed fee and civil matters.
- Helen Boswell BSc
Helen has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since June 1992 and is particularly experienced in costing family work including the preparation of claims for fixed fee work and high costs case plans.
- Matthew Soundy BSoc Sc
Matthew joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 1992, working initially in Birmingham and more recently, Amersham. He is a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen and has covered all aspects of law costs drafting. He has a particular interest in personal injury and clinical negligence claims. Matthew is also experienced in the preparation of high costs case plans. Recently, he has been involved in negotiations relating to First Assist Premium cases. He is also involved in the preparation of points of dispute, detailed replies and attending detailed assessment hearings, primarily at the SCCO.
- Tony Green BSc (Hons)
Tony joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 1993 and has wide experience of law costs drafting, covering solicitor/client, publicly funded, CFA and privately funded cases. His areas of experience include private and public law Children Act, family law, personal injury, clinical negligence, professional negligence, immigration, employment law and judicial review in the Magistrates Court, County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords, preparation of points of dispute, replies , advice on settlement and attendance on detailed assessment hearings, both in the County Court and the SCCO.
- Rob Anderson
Rob has been working with The John M Hayes Partnership since November 1996 and is experienced in all areas of costing particularly in complex personal injury matters.
- Martin Grimshaw
Martin has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since November 1999 in all aspects of criminal billing both publicly funded and claims from Central Funds. He also has experience in costing Courts Martial proceedings.
- Phil Boswell BSc (Hons)
Phil has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since July 2000 and is experienced in family, care and housing work including the preparation of bills and Claim 1’s for the LSC.
- Geraldine Hosier
Gerry has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since November 1999. She prepares bills of costs in publicly funded family and civil cases.
- Amy Lapham BSc
Amy has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since June 2003 and is experienced in family, care and civil work as well as personal injury claims. Amy also has experience of negotiations and has attended detailed assessment hearings.
- Carrie Hearne BA (Hons)
Carrie has worked with The John M Hayes Partnership since October 2003. She has experience in most areas of costs drafting but currently focuses on claims for publicly funded care and family proceedings, including high costs case plans and fixed fee work.
- Lizzie Dudley MA, BA
Lizzie returned to costs drafting for The John M Hayes Partnership in February 2008, preparing bills of costs for publicly funded and personal injury matters and has recently gained experience in high costs case plans.
- Margaret Keating
Margaret joined The John M Hayes Partnership in 1994 as an audio typist, combined audio typing with accounts a few years later and is now responsible for the administration of the office.
